PRACTICUM IN PRINT AND DIGITAL JOURNALISM
You've completed your final story.
You're really ready for semester break.
You have one more task here...
…and then you're done.
FINAL ASSIGNMENT - Due by May 1st
1. Read through several college and university newspapers and mine them for possible story ideas.
2. Write me an email in which you identify the five stories you read and name the newspapers that included them. I would like you to tell me what you think of the newspapers themselves and how well you think the newspaper serves its university community, based on what you've seen. I also want you to use your reading to suggest story ideas for next semester's practicum students. Additionally, please come up with a few of your own ideas, stories that YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS would love to read about in The Log.
2. While you're at it, you may wish to include the grade you think you deserve in the course with a brief explanation. No promises here, but I'll take your self-evaluation into consideration.
